The second reason that i should be creative is because Jesus modeled it. Christ modeled it. The Bible says in Matthew 13: thirty four, “… he did not say anything for them without using a parable. ” Jesus spoke from hillside, sail boat bows and beaches. He drew inside sand. He turned over tables. He divided species of fish. He used word photos and he used visuals. He said, “See the sower there scattering seed starting… see this child… see the key and the lock… see the ground… start to see the water… see the bread. ” Everything was video or graphic, everything was creative. “See that coin… ” Everything has been contemporary. “Did you hear regarding the building that fell over and killed some people… ” A current occurrence. Jesus was creative. Your dog modeled creativity.

James says, close your mouths.  Oh, oh.  Close your mouths.  That is a tough one for us.  We have two ears and one mouth, thus we are to listen twice as much as we speak.  While we are talking, we are not listening.  Thus we are not learning.  And we all have a hard time with that.  And the picture here is someone talking to themselves instead of listening to what God is saying.  There is a man in the Bible by the name of Elijah.  Elijah was a prophet who had the blues.  God used him in an incredible way.

On the other hand, if you go the way of obedience, you will always get to where you are going, but, here’s the kicker, the Lord will pay the fare.”  He really will.
